Jim
Edmunson

Practicing Law Since 1983 (Retired)

Jim’s practice is workers’ compensation. Jim was born in Eugene, the 6th generation of an Oregon Trail pioneer family in Lane County. He graduated in 1974 from Oregon State University in journalism and in 1983 from the University of Oregon School of Law.

Jim worked as a daily newspaper journalist in Oregon in the 1970s. After beginning his legal practice, he represented Eugene in the Oregon Legislature from 1987 to 1995. He then chaired the Democratic Party of Oregon from 1999 to 2007. He is married and the proud father of two daughters and grandfather to a grandchild. He enjoys gardening, camping, bicycling and golfing. Jim retired in 2022.

PHIL
BARNHART

Practicing Law Since 2008

Phil’s practice focuses on workers’ comp. He grew up in an active family in Eugene deeply involved in public education, civic service and community building. After graduation from South Eugene High School, he attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee where he majored in history and French language. After graduation, he returned home to study law at the University of Oregon School of Law, graduating in 2008.

Phil has been president of Eugene’s Little French School and of PICFEST, the Pacific International Choral Festival. He also served as a Judge for the Lane County Teen Court and is an active member of the Eugene Rotary Club.

Andrea
Knight

Practicing Law Since 2006

Andrea’s practice includes workers’ compensation and Social Security disability. She was born in Wyoming and moved to Southern California as a young child. After graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Psychology, she fulfilled a dream to live in Oregon – first, to study law at Lewis and Clark School of Law in Portland and, after her graduation in 2005, to Eugene to begin her law practice representing injured and disabled workers.

Andrea is married to a high school teacher and they have an active young son. She enjoys exploring Oregon’s great outdoors “rain or shine,” by hiking, biking, camping and enjoying music.
